The overall aim of this unit is to introduce pre-experience students to the range of activities associated with the management of individuals, groups and the organisation. In order to achieve this aim the content will cover several key areas of management. For example, the current challenges facing managers in a turbulent environment, the role of the individual, the importance of teamwork, managing conflict and effective decision making. Finally the role of corporate culture and ethics. Students undertaking this unit should expect to experience a variety of activities in order to challenge the content as prescribed above.
