Strategy began as a field of study with the military use of the term and by analogy later with business. The military use persists in strategic studies and the contrast between strategy and tactics. Both strategy in this sense and in the business strategy sense draw on early theorists such as Sun Tze, Thucydides, Machiavelli and Clausewitz. The aim of this unit is to link scholarship of the classic thinkers with practical experience. This unit is based on case studies with the focus on real world strategic situations. -- Course Website
