This unit takes the intersection of international economic activity and international human rights as a new and crucial issue for international law and practice. Attention is focused on the human rights impacts of international trade law (particularly that which operates under the of the World Trade Organization), international investment law, the actions of global regulatory bodies such as the IMF and the World Bank, loan repayment conditions for poor states and the activities of multinational corporations. -- Course Website
