The unit explores techniques, problems and implications of the selection, evaluation, design, and implementation of familiar and emerging educational technologies. Students will design and implement their own evaluation tools and methodology and will be encouraged to experience, design and critique a variety of emerging educational technologies such as social media, mobile phones, virtual worlds, interactive devices, augmented reality and digital games. The development of games and immersive environments for learning will be given special focus. The technologies in this unit will change according to emerging trends and access.
