This core unit is designed for early childhood professionals in order to enhance their own professional practice. Students will engage in a critical analysis of early childhood research that informs their practice and the practice of others. The characteristics of early childhood educational research are discussed, particularly as this relates to constructing appropriate questions or problems for investigation, critical review of literature, and research design. Students will engage with early childhood research that challenges traditional thinking. -- Course Website
