This unit enables pre-service education students to build a strong foundation for their career-long professional learning as secondary school teachers of accounting and related commerce studies. Students will acquire a sound understanding of key theoretical and pedagogical perspectives and issues in the teaching of accounting and related curriculum. Through an examination of a range of curricula drawn from state, national and international contexts, students are familiarised with current developments in the theory and practice of accounting education.
