This unit is designed to prepare specialist Geography teachers. It builds on the concepts introduced in EDF4118. It will develop students' understanding of current trends in geographical education and how these impact on school-based and post-compulsory curriculum in Geography. Studies will include further approaches to teaching and learning in geography and ways of assessing students' understanding of geographical knowledge and skills. Studies will also include the use and development of information and communication technologies. -- Course Website
