This 6-point unit extends students' knowledge, skills and attitudes about teaching and learning in secondary schools in the learning area of mathematics. The focus will be on the effective teaching of the secondary school (up to grade 10) content strands of number and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability, such that learners develop and sharpen their understanding, fluency, problem-solving and reasoning capacities. Students' pedagogical consideration of secondary school mathematics topics will be facilitated in relation to the use of graphics calculators and other learning technologies. -- Course Website
