This unit has been designed for students who wish to experience and gain an understanding of some of Australia's unique natural environments. The educational setting for this unit will combine seminars and fieldtrips in an outdoor location that is natural. Topics include: Historical and cultural perspectives of the relationships between humans and nature; the contributions of experiential and environmental education to understanding the natural environment; outdoor nature and a sense of place; aesthetic responses to exploring and discovery in the natural world. The unit includes 6 to 8 days of fieldwork. Fieldwork costs to cover transport and accommodation in National Parks will apply. -- Course Website
