This unit further develops knowledge, skills and attitudes about teaching and learning in primary schools in the learning area of mathematics. The focus is on the effective teaching of the primary school content strands of number and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability, such that learners develop and sharpen their understanding, fluency, problem solving and reasoning capacities. Students are introduced to a range of classroom teaching models (including technology-rich ones), and also have the opportunity to explore several summative and formative assessment strategies. -- Course Website
