This unit is planned for students in the Bachelor of Education (P-10) course. It is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant to the effective teaching and learning of primary and secondary school mathematics. There is a particular focus on knowledge relating to the number and algebra content strand across year levels (Prep to Year 10). Students will learn how to plan lessons and differentiate the curriculum to cater for a range of learning needs. They will also explore how mathematical learning might be facilitated by the appropriate harnessing of ICT and calculators. -- Course Website
