The unit aims to develop knowledge and skills, and an understanding of the collective aspects of the employment relationship, with a focus on the federal jurisdiction and the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). The unit examines the development of Australian labour law and includes consideration of the constitutional framework, modern awards, the role of Fair Work Australia and other regulatory bodies, enterprise bargaining and good faith bargaining, the regulation of industrial action, and unfair dismissal protections. -- Course Website
