This unit will focus on understanding and application of theoretical frameworks from the behavioral sciences and education to design and deliver food and nutrition education to various groups and to facilitate the adoption of healthful behaviors. Students will gain practical experience by designing, implementing and evaluating a nutrition education program. To facilitate learning in relation to vulnerable groups most likely to require nutrition education and to develop an understanding of social justice issues related to nutrition education, students will be required to undertake voluntary work with community based organisations and complete a range of tasks. -- Course Website
