This unit explores environmental systems as they relate to architectural design and construction. This includes study of environmental design principles and the implications of these in relation to architectural design and construction processes and outcomes. Analysis of environmental systems will be conducted with a focus on the relationship to design intent. A range of environmental behaviors will be addressed in response to performance optimisation. Integral to the subject matter is the engagement with strategies for environmental sustainability in relation to architectural design and construction.
