This unit builds on the preceding unit (APG4815) to develop advanced translation skills in four specialised domains (legal, medical, technical and business/financial translation (topics may differ in any given year)). Students are required to complete a translation assignment consisting of an annotated translation of approximately 5000 words from the domain of their choice, with a critical introduction of at least 1000 words. Students will be expected to translate into their A language and the critical introduction is to be written in English.
