This unit provides an overview of the role of the editor or writer of texts for publication or communication in fields such as Science and Technology, Medicine, Psychology, Education, Law or Finance where specialist editors and publishers produce books, journals or other publications in printed and electronic forms. The editors who prepare them for publication apply professional knowledge and skills in ways that meet subject-specific requirements and expectations.
