This unit provides an exploration of various approaches to the construction of health, wellness, illness, abnormality and deviancy with a focus on socio-cultural perspectives. The unit also complements and extends some of the competencies developed in PSYS834. Issues covered include:<br/>- Indigenous sensitivity training;<br/>- Indigenous counselling;<br/>- Critical thinking;<br/>- Systemic/political/socio-cultural issues and their impact on psychological and social health; and<br/>- Motivational interviewing. -- Course Website
