This unit provides training in interpersonal therapy (IPT). The unit also provides training in cultural sensitivity, working with interpreters, and counselling persons from non-dominant cultures. Training is provided regarding the identification of psychotic symptoms and supportive counselling for individuals and families. The unit also provides training in rehabilitation, trauma and pain management. The unit teaches vocational assessment and vocational counselling. Relationship counselling is also taught using emotion focussed therapy and behavioural strategies. Qualitative research techniques are taught with an emphasis on conducting case studies. -- Course Website
