An examination of the historical roots of modern psychology with a view to critiquing current models of psychology will be undertaken. The second part of the unit will explore issues related to the role of theory and conceptual analysis in modern psychology. Major concepts within psychology will be examined (eg, behaviour, cognition and motivation) and common weaknesses in psychological arguments identified with an aim to developing critical thinking skills. -- Course Website
