As dramatic events such the uprisings in the Arab world and the 'Occupy' movement unfold, there is every possibility that we are entering into a new era. In this context, old ways of examining international politics may need rethinking. This unit begins this process by introducing students to the key issues, institutions, ideas and structures that are at the forefront of the changes reshaping the world we live in.
