This unit is intended to provide students with hands-on experience as part of their undergraduate studies. It is designed to complement students' knowledge of the media with practical experience in a professional environment. In order to fulfil the requirements of this unit, students undertake a 100 hour vocational placement working under supervision to complete an assigned project. Students attend an initial meeting with the unit convenor, and are expected to contact their internship supervisor (at their placement) and academic supervisor (at Macquarie University) no later than the second week of the semester.
