Lectures and tutorials in this unit are organised around key issues in intercultural communication such as identity, power, globalisation, culture transition, taboo, and intercultural communication problems. Selected readings introduce key theories in the field and identify areas where intercultural communication takes place (business, multicultural communities, politics).
