This unit uses German language material to investigate intercultural aspects of German society. It introduces key concepts used in current discussions of cultural identity and applies them to cross-cultural encounters in German speaking contexts. Amongst the material covered are a range of literary texts and film. Assessment is by coursework. -- Course Website
