The Asia–Pacific is a highly differentiated and dynamic region undergoing rapid social, spatial and political transformation. Communities and governments within the Asia–Pacific region are continually dealing with dilemmas associated with development, economic, political and environmental change and contestation by various stakeholders over resources at various scales (international, national and local level).
