This unit mixes theory and practice in lectures and workshops that investigate theatre built on movement and sound. From Broadway to burlesque, from River Dance to Marilyn Manson, from Greek choruses to Billy Elliot, from Krumping to Keating, from Mardi Gras to Gamelan, this unit creates fresh perspective and deepened understanding of a genre often undervalued and regarded as frivolous.
