This unit provides a thorough coverage of chiropractic technique including specific spinal adjustment procedures, spinal mobilisation and manipulation techniques, as well as physical assessment procedures such as static and motion palpation. The unit covers two techniques in detail; Diversified and Gonstead. The unit further develops the chiropractic psychomotor skills taught by this institution. By the completion of this unit students will be well grounded in a range of spinal manipulative corrective techniques. The hypotheses and scientific rationale relating to chiropractic intervention is further explored. Major themes relating to evidence-based practice (EBP) continue to be developed. -- Course Website
