A study in the methods and approaches to the study of ancient Greek religion through the examination of selected topics, from the archaic and classical periods, with a focus on Athenian religion, including public and private cults, cults introduced by foreigners, and the Eleusinian Mysteries. The approach will be principally text-based, with reference where appropriate to archaeological evidence. -- Course Website
