This unit provides potential financial regulators with the fundamental analytic tools required for further study. It provides an overview of the core components involved in financial analysis, including: the mechanics and definitions of the financial statements, including balance sheet consolidation; valuation methodologies for fixed income products, equities and projects; interest rate fundamentals; and the regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions. It is specifically tailored to inform students on how the area of financial analysis applies to financial institutions and extra attention is devoted to understanding the importance of capital, liquidity and interest rates. -- Course Website
