The topics covered in this unit include the key discipline-based areas of the role of accounting and accounting information systems, databases, e-business systems, internal controls, business processes, ethics, systems development and information system audit. The material covered in this unit is presented through an accounting lens, thus allowing the full benefits of information systems within a practical and relevant context to be drawn out and evidenced to students.
