This course will build upon undergraduate knowledge in the areas of clinical and exercise physiology, neurophysiology and pain mechanisms, functional anatomy, connective tissue biology (form and function), and biomechanical principles as they relate to the injury, healing and repair and disease. The student will be introduced to research methodology through the two lab testing sessions. During these sessions, students will need to examine the evidence surrounding the use of and the validity supporting the research methods used in the lab testing session.
