This course examines the key areas of purchasing and supply of goods and services in a logistics and supply chain context. Key issues such as purchasing and e-purchasing, managing contracts, monitoring performance under contracts, contract renewal, and contract termination will be examined. The critical areas of relationship management and managing information, in the context of purchasing and supply, will be themes throughout the course. First offered in semester 1, 2008.
