This course provides an introduction to the major medical disciplines of histology and human anatomical nomenclature. Histology is the study of the microscopic structure of tissues. It is central to biological and medical science since it stands at the cross-roads between biochemistry, molecular biology and physiology on the one side, and disease processes and their effects on human tissues on the other. This course also allows the student to become familiar with the nomenclature of major anatomical landmarks, directional references, and anatomical/medical terminology.

Prerequisite:
1001BPS Human Biology, or
1001BBS Human Biology: The Human Organism, or
BBS1001... -- Course Website
