Introduction to Sport Management is designed to provide students with an understanding of the Australian sport industry by considering the unique features of sport and the type of organisations that operate in its public, non-profit and professional sectors. A brief historical overview of sport management in Australia will form the basis for understanding the current Australian sport system and how it functions.
