This course aims to develop generic skills such as the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to work in multidisciplinary teams, to have well developed analytical skills and to be able to problem solve. It also aims to develop understanding of the social and ethical framework of environmental sciences as well as the cultural responsibilities of an environmental scientist. The course uses an interdisciplinary approach drawing on case studies and skills from other first year courses to impart these aims. A coordinated lecture program is supplemented by tutorials.

Incompatible: 1301ENV The Global Environment; 1121AES Understanding Environmental Issues;... -- Course Website
