This unit examines the processes and techniques used in development appraisal and the economic evaluation of building projects. Topics will include the development process, property investment, feasibility studies, property markets, project finance, taxation and risk analysis. Students will analyse the multi-disciplinary nature of the development process and the relationship between design decisions and the total cost of building projects as they prepare detailed development appraisals and feasibility studies within the context of property markets and the built environment business ecology.
