This unit looks at the application of risk management techniques to the operation of built facilities in the context of providing a safe working environment for people. Procedures such as risk identification, analysis and treatment are put into the context of developing plans to ensure facility continuity and disaster recovery. Case studies of actual risk events, such as natural disasters and terrorist attack, are used to help inform the strategies that facilities managers might adopt to both avoid and to respond to unexpected events.Assessment -- Course Website
