Students taking this unit have an opportunity to see how problems in their area of interest can be solved using modern day mathematical and algorithmic techniques. Optimisation and decision problems considered will include examples from machine scheduling, robotics routing, network design, resource allocation, and information security. Methods covered include linear and integer models, and game theory. Four assignments will be offered and students may choose two of these in their own area of interest. -- Course Website
