Students entering the workforce as engineers will from time to time be expected to use, enhance or even develop software to complete their daily tasks solving engineering problems. This unit introduces students to the process of taking an engineering problem, identifying its components, and expressing a solution in computational terms.  MATLAB and Excel are used to define, develop, analyse and solve engineering problems.  Pseudo code and the C programming language is used to illustrate programming constructs, I/O basics, data types and storage, operators, control flow, repetition, functional decomposition, modularity and reuse. -- Course Website
