This unit provides students with the skills and knowledge applicable to the process of planning for an organisation's future. Key elements of strategic management will be considered including planning, environmental analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation and control. The unit will assess the strategic management cycle and decision-making processes utilised in considering alternatives, choice and the evaluation of strategy as it applies to sporting organisations.  It will also include case study analysis of national and international sport and non-sport organisations.
