This unit will provide students with the ability to design surveys, experiments and other methods of quantitative research and to analyse the resulting data. It will introduce students to a wide range of frequentist multivariate analysis tools based on dependence and interdependence techniques. It will also provide students with a solid grounding in computing skills using SPSS, Amos and Excel to enable them to communicate research results effectively, and provide them with a sound knowledge of the key issues and principles of data analysis.
