The subject material covered in this unit falls into three main categories: tortious liability for false statements, including the tort of defamation and injurious falsehood; statutory prohibitions on misleading or deceptive conduct and other false representations in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010; and the product liability of manufacturers under the common law and under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. -- Course Website
