Econometrics represents the application of statistical methods to economic models. The same methods are also widely employed in accounting, finance, marketing and management, as well as in other social sciences including political science, history, psychology and sociology. The first part of the unit will build on classical regression model and explore consequences of relaxing model assumptions. The second part of the unit will cover contemporary advanced econometric methods, including instrumental variables, simultaneous equation models and panel data models. Econometric software will be employed to enhance the learning process. -- Course Website
