This unit provides students with an understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of food, nutrition and physical activity assessment methods, and the ability to apply this knowledge to future workplace requirements. The unit focuses on methods of measuring food and nutrient intake, physical activity, energy expenditure, and body size and composition; reliability, validity, and measurement of errors; nutrition, physical activity, and anthropometric reference standards and recommendations; population norms for dietary intakes, physical activity, and body size and composition; and evaluation and interpretation of dietary intake, physical activity and anthropometric survey data. -- Course Website
