In this unit, which forms part of the Parallel Nursing and Midwifery Studies cluster, students will examine and participate in the care of the woman who experiences or is at risk of experiencing health challenges during pregnancy, labour, birth and following birth. A focus of this unit is on the midwife’s role of referral and collaboration in multidisciplinary approaches to care and an emphasis on a woman-centred, evidence-based approach. -- Course Website
