This unit will introduce students to the roles that genes and proteins play in normal cell function and dysfunction and their role in disease progression. The role of aberrations in these processes will be discussed, along with how they are detected and the clinical implications of these molecular signatures. The current and future benefits of this field will also be considered, with a focus on diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic applications. -- Course Website
