This unit will consist of online, theory and practical components as well as a practicum experience. The unit will focus on the understanding of the theoretical foundation of pedagogy as well as curriculum issues in Years 7-10 HPE. Specifically, policies and frameworks that guide planning and teaching of physical education, health and wellbeing in the secondary school will be considered in the development of units of work appropriate to a real learning context. The unit will also focus on the challenges of managing and teaching within a diverse classroom and catering for individuals’ needs, in both the physical education environment and in the health classroom. -- Course Website
