This unit is designed to develop an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings and practical implementation aspects to do with the use of a range of media and new technologies in online teaching and learning. Students will investigate these technologies and critically evaluate their potential for use within an education and/or training context. Topics include the history and theoretical underpinnings of online teaching and learning and the characteristics and impact of various new online technologies. -- Course Website
