This unit explores the theories and related issues in the promotion of well-being through health and movement in early childhood and primary education. The unit will provide an overview of the theories of development in the early years, with an emphasis on health and well-being issues at this stage of the life span. The unit is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to examine theory and practice and apply these to programs that enhance the social, physical and emotional health and well-being of children in the early years.
