This unit focuses on a range of theories of bilingualism, the knowledge of the pedagogical principles and the practice of teaching through a second or foreign language. Students explore in detail the issues of language education and how to make it responsive to the needs of bilingual and/or second language learners and to their use of languages in the classroom and across a range of social contexts.
