The unit investigates the emerging human rights agendas in world politics. It identifies the ethical foundations of human rights claims and their political interplay with the states system, non-state actors and international law. It examines key issues in respect to political and civil rights, economic and social rights, and the concept of ‘global citizenship' in relation to various case studies. -- Course Website
